Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you want to know about my courses and event cover - all in one place!

Are you insured?

In short, yes! I am covered to not only provide a first aid service as a medic, but also as a trainer too. This includes public liability insurance. Should you require any information for your own risk assessments, please email me at hello@jbsmedical.co.uk.

Are you accredited?

I am commencing the accreditation process with the First Aid Industry Body (FAIB) www.faib.co.uk. They approve and regulate first aid providers and provide the accreditation for the certificates. You will see us listed on their website very soon!

What first aid training do you have?

I am qualified on the First Response Emergency Care pathway to Level 4, which is the equivalent of a ECA on an ambulance. I also hold a valid First Aid at Work certificate in order to teach EFAW & FAAW.

What teaching qualification do you have?

I hold a Level 3 Award in Adult Education & Training which also qualifies me to assess learners. I will soon be completing my Level 4 Award in the Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practice (IQA).

Do you offer a group discount?

Please get in touch to discuss any group discounts on bookings. The best way to do this is either to call me on 07865 829 330 or to use the contact form above.

What payment methods do you accept?

Currently our only accepted payment method is via bank transfer. For courses, this must be paid 24-hours before the day of the course. For events, this is bespoke and discussed as part of the planning phase.

We are looking to accept bookings via our website soon, which will give learners the option to pay for courses via bank card, and we are looking to add a card payment option to our invoices for events.

Do you offer on-site training at my work place?

Yes! Please get in touch to discuss, essentially as long as the room is big enough for 12 adults including chairs and sufficient floor space for practical work, I will bring the rest. Other requirements do include access to power and a desk for a large screen.

Do you issue anything on your course?

Yes, for the duration of the course you will be provided access to a physical book containing all the relevant information for overnight revision, these must be returned on the last day of the course. All learners also receive a free key-ring pocket mask!
